This role offers an opportunity for a former technician to transition into a strategic and detail-oriented position, taking the next step in their professional journey.\nAs a Security Systems Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in developing design and engineering solutions for sales opportunities. Leveraging your technical expertise, impeccable organizational skills, and drive for excellence, you will analyze plans and specifications for security installations and low voltage solutions. Your ability to record quantities, gather bids, and establish accurate project pricing will contribute to our commitment to delivering outstanding security solutions.\nResponsibilities:\nCollaborate with sales teams to develop design and engineering solutions for security systems based on client needs.\nAnalyze project plans and specifications to assess security installation and low voltage requirements.\nRecord quantities and solicit bids from vendors to establish competitive and accurate project pricing.\nManage multiple projects/estimates concurrently while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.\nProvide end-to-end project engineering support, including material selection and labor estimation.\nWrite clear scope of work documents and develop cost estimates in response to bid specifications.\nEnsure alignment between proposed sales prices and actual installation costs.\nWork closely with vendors to secure the best solutions, competitive prices, and timely material deliveries.\nMeet bid schedules and project deadlines with precision and professionalism.\nQualifications:\nA minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in Special Systems or a related technical/construction field.\nStrong background as a former technician is highly preferred.\nExceptional first impression skills and interpersonal abilities.\nImpeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.\nHighly motivated, results-driven, and ready to advance professionally.\nIn-depth knowledge of CCTV, Card Access, Intrusion, Fire Alarm, Audio/Video, and IP network-based system requirements.\nProficiency in relevant software/tools for estimating and project management.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\n8-5 M-F position in our office in Walnut Creek.
