Quality Supervisor

Job Summary The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all quality control activities within the metal fabrication and machining operations. This role ensures that manufactured products meet internal quality standards, customer specifications, and applicable industry regulations. Key Responsibilities Quality Control & Inspection Supervise daily quality control activities for metal fabrication and machining processes. Ensure incoming, in-process, and final inspections are performed according to standards. Review inspection reports and nonconformance records. Ensure proper calibration and use of measuring tools. Team Leadership Lead, train, and evaluate QC inspectors. Assign inspection priorities and schedules. Provide coaching and performance feedback. Nonconformance & Corrective Actions Investigate defects and quality issues. Initiate and track corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with production and engineering teams. Documentation & Compliance Maintain quality records and inspection logs. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 or applicable standards. Support internal and external audits. Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve quality processes. Analyze quality data and KPIs. Support lean manufacturing initiatives. Qualifications & Requirements Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field. 3–5 years experience in metal fabrication or machining quality. Supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and GD&T. Strong leadership and communication skills. Working Conditions Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and noise. Standing, walking, and occasional lifting required.
