If you don't love your workplace, we really need to talk!\nJob Summary\nSets up and operates flexographic printing press to print designs or lettering on rolls of paper stock.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES\nReads job orders and sets up machinery for specific customer requirements.\nConstantly checks and monitors quality of printing at prescribed intervals.\nRecords and scans in appropriate documentation.\nAble to run machinery at acceptable speeds and scrap levels.\nAble to perform all functions in the \"Make Ready\" portion of process control.\nObtains approval for startup from Quality Control or Supervision.\nKeeps machine and area clean, housekeeping concerns.\nContinuously follows instructions/directions of Startup and End of Day Clean Up Procedures.\nAble to troubleshoot mechanical or process control problems.\nMust be able to perform changeovers and basic machine adjustments when required of operator.\nHas the ability to follow instruction from Flexo Department Lead and Supervisor.\nPerforms all duties in safe manner and follows all work rules.\nAble to properly navigate and use the Autocount system to the required standards.\nGives appropriate direction to the Press Assistant if applicable.\nCommunicates with co-workers in a professional manner.\nWilling/Able to cross train on other machinery as deemed necessary.\nCommunicates non-conformance to Lead Operator and/or Supervision.\nHave the ability to differentiate between various colors and shades as part of quality control and product inspection duties.\nAny other duties determined by management.\nAttendance on-site required\nSupervisory RESPONSIBILITIES\nDirects and coordinates activities of the Press Assistant on each press.\nCandidate Requirements\nQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\nEducation and Experience: Prefer high school education or a GED. 2-3 years Flexo experience prior to hiring will be beneficial.\nLanguage skills: Must be willing and able to communicate effectively. Must be able to understand work instructions.\nCertificates and Registrations: Must pass safety control check sheet and color chart. LOTO awareness sign off sheet. Operator certification process is not applicable at this time.\nOther: Must be able to use a calculator and understand concepts of basic math. Must be proficient at reading a ruler and distinguish colors. Familiar with basic small tools. Basic concepts of navigating a computer is a must.\nRequired training documents: Safety training, press operation documentation, and doctor blade training is required.\nPhysical demands\nMust be able to push, pull, kneel, reach, sit, hear, walk and see.\nMust be able to stand for up to 10 hours at the time.\nMust be able to see fine detailing in finish product.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a random basis.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nEmployees may feel vibration from machinery. Noise levels are required PPE levels on machinery, ear plugs or earmuffs required.
