As an intern, you will work alongside experienced team members who can offer insights to help you better understand the financial services industry.\n\nThis internship is expected to continue through October 30, 2026. Depending on business needs and the intern's performance, there may be an opportunity to transition into a part-time position through the end of the calendar year.\n\nEssential Responsibilities:\n\nCustomer Service: Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, understand their needs, and provide appropriate solutions. Assist customers with account inquiries, deposits, withdrawals, and other general banking transactions. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by promptly resolving any issues or concerns.\nCash Handling: Accurately count, receive, and disburse cash, checks, and other financial instruments. Ensure cash drawer balances at the beginning and end of each shift, following the bank’s cash handling policies and procedures.\nTransaction Processing: Perform various banking transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, and traveler’s checks. Ensure all transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.\nTravel to and provide support at surrounding branch locations as needed to meet operational and business needs.\nAdheres to applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).\nPerforms other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.\n\nMinimum Required Skills & Competencies:\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nStrong interpersonal skills\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving skills\nAbility to navigate and learn computer systems and software\nSolid reasoning, analytical, technical, mathematical and language abilities\nMust possess excellent work ethic and ability to self-motivate\nMust be able to multi-task as well as communicate well with others\nUnderstands the importance of being a team player\n\nDesired Skills & Competencies:\n\nBe seeking a degree at an accredited college/university with a major in accounting, banking, business administration, commercial or banking law, economics, finance, marketing, or other fields related to the position.\nHave at least a cumulative (overall) 3.0 GPA\nHave completed two full academic years toward the degree\nAll intern applicants should submit a cover letter and a resume. The cover letter should clearly state the position the applicant is applying for, the semester of interest, approximate date on which he or she would be available to begin work if selected, and why he or she would be a good fit for the position desired.\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nExpress or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.\nExert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.\nHave close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.\nNot substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this job.
