EPC Solar - Project Accountant

Our management team of industry leaders and experts have a combined experience of 84GW of solar experience over 650+ projects in twenty-one states and the Canadian province of Ontario.As aProject Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the financial aspects of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include creating budgets, analyzing costs, and ensuring accurate financial tracking. Here are the key details:Duties/Responsibilities:Review and process project related contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and other various agreements as required, ensuring required clauses and details are in contractsReview and process general job cost invoices and subcontractor billings accurately and timelyCoordinates with legal and compliance departments when necessaryMaintains an organized system of physical and digital recordsReconcile monthly inventories, and materials analysis as directedEnsure all project costs (equipment, material, supplies, misc.) are processedPerform closeout functions including reconciliations, financial status reports, final invoices, and final reportingAssist with time and effort reporting system and ensures it is complete and in compliance with applicable regulationsReview unit entry and unit reconciliations as prepared by supporting staffEnsure proper payments to all subcontractors and major suppliersProduce statements and reports using a variety of sourcesAssist with other areas of accounting to ensure a timely month-end closingComplete other related duties and assist with special projects as neededRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldPreferred certification in construction accountingMinimum of 3 years of experience in private or public accountingWorking knowledge of construction cost accounting and related financial proceduresFamiliarity with accounting software such as Sage 300 and Procore.
