Sanitation Specialist

Work Hours: Full-Time Work Hours: Monday thru Friday 5:00am to 1:30pm, and Saturdays & Sundays when needed. Must be able to work flexible hours when needed.$15.10/hour.Primary Responsibilities:Maintains sanitation washroom in a hygienic condition, operates all equipment safely and according to established guidelines.Handles and mixes cleaning and sanitizing chemicals as prescribed on manufacturer's labelCleans and sanitizes greenhouse equipment in a manner that protects against contamination of tomatoes and tomato plantsMonitors, collects and reports Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures and all other HACCP pre-requisite programs as requiredMonitors equipment and supplies to properly support the completion of departmental tasks. Trains and supports departmental and non-departmental employees when necessaryCleans pack-house, cooler, and common area floors dailyPerforms scheduled cleaning of pack-houseRemoves broken glass in accordance with procedureMaintains cut glove inventory daily by sorting and stockingCleans and drains dumpsters as neededProvide support as back-up housekeeper as neededTrains and supports departmental and non-departmental employees as neededCross-train and assist in other areas of the department as neededPerforms other duties as neededWears all necessary personal protective equipment required for each taskEducation/Background Requirements:* High School diploma or GED requiredSpecific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RequiredOne to three-year(s) experience in the sanitation fieldUnderstand company specific job-related applications of the Occupational Safety and Health AdministrationUnderstand job specific applications of GMPsUnderstands and applies proper cleaning and sanitizing practicesUnderstand company Sanitation Standard Operating ProceduresUnderstand basic operational and preventive maintenance of dispensersMust be able to work independently and follow instructions as givenWorking Conditions:Must occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand and walk for long periods of timeRequires bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, repetitive motionMay work near moving equipmentComfortable working around beesWe are pleased to offer the following Benefits:Paid weeklyMedical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance401KPaid Time OffEmployee Engagement & Recognition ProgramsOpportunities for growth and advancement#_Sunset
