Water Treatment Plant Operator

Water Treatment Plant Operator (Full-Time) - The operation and maintenance of water treatment plants; water treatment and related equipment servicing, calibrating, and repair; mechanical electrical and hydraulic principles; principles and practices of standardized water quality tests; state and federal regulations governing the operation of a water treatment plant. Must be able to read and write plainly. Must be able to perform mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction and multiplication. Must be able to follow technical instructions, procedures and schedules. High school diploma or equivalent GED certification and considerable experience (two or more years) as a Water Treatment Plant Operator. Must hold a Virginia Class II Water Plant Operator License.
