Successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design of MEP and Fire Suppression Systems for our industrial, commercial, retail, educational, and government clients. You will manage and work closely with in-house engineers and other designers in multiple disciplines on projects to prepare construction documents for mechanical and fire suppression systems.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPrimary responsibilities include site audits, calculations, equipment selections, drawing preparations, project budgets, construction cost estimating, construction administration support, meeting/review participation, project staffing, and writing proposals.\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nB.S. in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).\nProficient in the use of Carrier HAP or Trane Trace HVAC load analysis programs; Carrier HAP preferred.\nProficient in the psychometric considerations and calculations of HVAC systems' design.\nExperience in QA/QC of construction documents of engineers under their supervision and as part of a team.\nExperience in writing detailed engineering specifications and preparing construction contract documents for competitive bidding.\nExperience in critically reviewing shop drawings for project-specified mechanical equipment.\nCapable of coordinating with, and inspecting the work of, contractors during the construction phase to enforce the construction documents.\n5+ years of design experience for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire suppression systems.\n3+ years of experience using Auto CAD (Revit is a plus).\nUnderstanding of mechanical codes and regulations.\nUnderstanding of NFPA, ANSI, and ASHRAE Standards.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Excel, Word).\nGood written and verbal communication skills.\nPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:\nExperience with Revit is a plus.\nExperience in Carrier HAP is preferred.\nProfessional Engineering License in the of State of Ohio is a plus.\nWhat can a ValuTech employee expect?\nAt ValuTech we believe in taking care of our employees with a comprehensive benefits package.
