These applications include in-house applications, purchased applications, and open-source products.\nLouisiana Tech University is seeking a Web Developer for an Application Analyst Programmer position in the Information Technology division. The Application Analyst Programmer – Web Developer will create and maintain web applications to support the University’s strategic goals. These applications include in-house applications, purchased applications, and open-source products.\nThe Web Developer will be expected to take input such as wireframes or sketches and translate those into working prototypes, as well as develop applications that interact with institutional data sources to provide dynamic content. They will participate in user-experience testing and be expected to use that research to enhance website design.\nThe Web Developer will work directly with other partner organizations to manage: university websites, web governance tools, web applications, data presentation tools and digital signage content. Duties of the position will involve both front-end and back-end aspects of web application development.\nMinimum Requirements: A bachelor’s degree is required (Computer Science or related field is preferred). 1-3 years of relative experience as a web developer using the critical skills below is preferred. Knowledge of regular expressions, XML manipulation, responsive web design, browser/platform compatibility issues and accessibility standards. Effective skills in the following: verbal and written communication, problem-solving, time management and multitasking.\nCritical Skills: RegEx, XSLT, XPath, XQuery, PHP, SQL, JavaScript/AJAX, HTML and CSS\nAdditional Skills a Plus: WordPress development, web service coding (SOAP and REST), Python, Workday integrations, Sharepoint, Modern Campus CMS.\nWhen applying, please attach a letter of application, resume, and the names and contact information of three professional references.
