To build and support networks that are future driven and designed to support our client’s growth.\nPacific IT Support is looking for a full time Level 2 Support Engineer at our Bellingham location to provide support to our client base in our two locations (Maui, HI and Bellingham, WA).\nAs a company, we believe we are only as good as our employees and do our best to provide an environment of hard work, fun, and personal development.\nOur employees work both in the office as well as remotely. In addition to strong technical aptitudes, backed by at least 6 year of in the trenches experience, this person is a good communicator and a person who can manage well when the client is in a pickle and really needs strong guidance. The pace and demands in this environment are usually much greater than an \"in-house\" position. This person should be prompt and/or know the importance of communicating ETA's to clients. This person should be skillful at pre-project/work-briefings with each client on each project. This person should then be able to execute with a high degree of success in integrating and/or solving problems in environments rich in Windows Server, Exchange, IIS, Cisco Internetworking, VPN's, firewalls, backup systems and more. The more truly capable the engineer is in all these areas, the higher the utility value.\nREPORTING STRUCTURE\nThis position reports directly to the Service Manager and indirectly to the Director.\nPRINCIPAL DUTIES\n· End User Support\n· Backend System Configuration\n· M365 support\n· Azure support\n· Assist with client projects\n· Managed internal projects\n· DAILY time entry accounting for at least 8 hours\n· Documentation of Client Networks\n· Small Projects\n· Assist Sr. Engineers on Larger projects\n· T&M service requests\n· Backup Maintenance\n· Configuration of standard POP, SMTP & Exchange clients including Outlook\n· Installation, configuration, troubleshooting and customization of MS Office Suite applications per customer's preferences\n· Understanding of and ability to install, configure and test workstation hardware including video cards, NICs, sound cards, hard drives, and PDAs\n· Network Server – Experience preferred with Windows Server\n· Configure file, print and remote access services\n· Administration, including add/remove users and groups, configure file permissions, check event logs, configure and restore from backup\n· Administration of enterprise e-mail application, including add/remove users and group, configure folder permissions if applicable, forward mail to other accounts, and add aliases\n· Takes ownership of tasks and follows through to ensure complete resolution\nKnowledge and Experience\n· Appropriate Driver’s License\n· A+, Net+, Server+ or equivalent certifications or experience\n· Other computer/network-related industry certifications a plus\n· 6+ years working in complex IT environments\n· Deep understanding of LAN/WAN technologies required\n· MSP experience a plus\n· Knowledge of Autotask a plus\n· Knowledge of IT Glue a plus\n· Knowledge of Datto RMM a plus\n· Watchguard firewalls a plus\n· Ubiquiti Unifi switches and APs a plus\n· Auvik or Domotz a plus\n· Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.\n· based on primary job role location.\n· 4 years plus previous experience in IT administration and/or technical support experience, or equivalent.\n· Strong all-round knowledge of IT and telecommunications infrastructure, hardware, and software applications.\n· Demonstrated experience and knowledge of network and workstation operating systems, and Microsoft Windows operating system.\n· Demonstrated experience with web and internet technologies.\n· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure a plus.\nAPTITUDE & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS\n· Client first mindset\n· Ability to manage small projects\n· Likes documentation\n· Likes following and creating process\n· Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.\n· High level organizational, project management, coordination, and prioritization skills.\n· Strong problem-solving skills and self-learning.\n· Show initiative when undertaking tasks.\n· Able to work well both within a team environment and autonomously.\n· Good task management and multi-tasking skills.\n· High degree of confidentiality.\n· High degree of punctuality.\n· Ability to take, interpret and follow instructions.\n· Ability to work with staff at all levels of the Company.\n· Committed towards undertaking duties efficiently with a strong attention to detail.\n· Professional personal presentation.\n· Awareness of and ability to work in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.\nKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS)\n· Minimum of 32 hours billable services recorded per week.\n· Productivity (expected range 75%-85% utilization rate)\n· Project management efficiency\n· Accurate and detailed documentation\n· Client and staff satisfaction.\n· Satisfactory achievement of ongoing targets, goals, and objectives as set by the Operations Manager and the Director.\n· Accuracy of work undertaken, information and advice provided.\n· Following of instructions and completion of tasks in a timely, accurate and efficient manner which meet the requirements of the company, client and required regulatory standards.\nEmployment Type\nPart-time\nPayscale: Negotiable on Experience\nPay: $20.00 -
