Location: Rockford, IL. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite in the Rockford office and 2 days remote within the U.S.\nResponsibilities Develop, coordinate, and conduct complex tests and debug control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.\nConduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with other project team members in planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software to ensure smooth operations on software engineering activities.\nDesign and implement build procedures used to support hardware and software product development and function.\nRecommend changes in the selection and application of software production components to improve and develop software engineering activities.\nDetermine end‑user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, and input data acquisition.\nQualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND at least 8 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role in Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, or Medical industries.\nOr Master’s degree or equivalent AND at least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role in Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, or Medical industries.\nAt least 5 years of experience with embedded C programming.\nAt least 3 years of experience leading medium to large software engineering teams.\nAt least 3 years of experience with industry standards for the full software engineering lifecycle of safety‑critical systems such as DO‑178C.\nAt least 3 years of experience with software development for Generator or Bus Power Control Units.\nNon‑U.S. persons must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.\nThe company will not seek an export authorization for this role.\nWork Arrangement Employees in hybrid roles work regularly both onsite and offsite.
