Event Captain

Pay Range: $23 - $26/hour, based on experienceJob Summary:We are one of Chicago's largest full-service catering companies, accommodating weddings, galas, corporate events, and more. For nearly four decades, we have catered some of the largest events in Chicagoland and even around the country.As we approach the catering & event season, we are hiring staff to join our team to help us create experiences that will last a lifetime.As the Captain of Events, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire team of waitstaff, bartenders, and culinarians throughout the event. As Captain, it is your responsibility to provide exemplary service and support to all event guests.Responsibilities:Supervising all event staff throughout the eventInteracting with customers/event guestsSetting guest tables and buffet areas for serviceRecommending dishes from the menu based on guests' tastes and preferences (if applicable)Delivering food to tablesEnsuring all event guests' needs are met within a timely mannerAdditional duties as assignedQualifications:Proven restaurant serving or waitering experienceAttention to cleanliness and safetyPatience and customer-oriented approachExcellent people skills with a friendly attitudeResponsible and trustworthyExcellent communication skillsMust have reliable transportationHigh school diploma is a plus but not required
