Highly collaborative, we work together to solve problems and find better ways to continually grow our business and careers every day.\n\nPURPOSE\n\nDirects the activities of warehouse personnel, including receiving, stocking, load building, customer service and deliveries.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nSupervises assigned employees including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.\nOversees the safe and efficient handling of goods by employees operating forklifts or other machinery ensuring that employees receive the proper training and certification, if necessary.\nOversees and coordinates periodic inventory checks; prepares merchandise orders to ensure that identified stock levels meet merchandising requirements at all times; maintains record keeping system to provide immediate access to current stock information when needed.\nOn occasion, will perform the same duties as other yard personnel.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.\n\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\n\nHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and five or more years of experience performing and coordinating yard or warehousing activities, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nCOMPETENCIES\n\nAdvanced knowledge of warehouse operations and handling of all machinery and equipment; maintains certification to operate such if required.\nAbility to plan and coordinate work processes to maintain and increase manpower and equipment efficiency\nCommunication skills sufficient to speak before teams and work groups to explain work rules, product standards and productivity goals\nAbility to read and write work schedules and reports\nKnowledge of basic math, counting and estimating\nCustomer service orientation\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite\nWORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
