This role focuses on designing, provisioning, and automating cloud-based data workspaces that accelerate user onboarding, improve data accessibility, and strengthen platform reliability. The ideal candidate will work hands‑on with modern cloud tools, Databricks, VHA Data Lake integrations, and automated workspace creation. This position is fully remote, located in the United States.\n\nResponsibilities:\nCreate cloud workspaces equipped with the most commonly used tools to ensure rapid assignment and reduced onboarding friction.\nAutomate provisioning processes for user intake, workspace creation, and core Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW) access.\nMap new users to the appropriate workspace personas and configurations through an improved intake workflow.\nBuild and configure workspaces in PreProd (with live data) or Prod environments, including setup of Service Principals, workgroup personas, access controls, and security configurations.\nCreate and manage linked services, mount points, and integrations between Databricks and the VHA Data Lake.\nDevelop and maintain Databricks catalogs to support streamlined data discovery and governed access.\nCollaborate with data platform engineers, security teams, and analytics stakeholders to ensure compliant and efficient workspace operations.\nTroubleshoot issues related to cloud provisioning, access, and workspace functionality, delivering timely and high‑quality support.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives including automation enhancement, intake optimization, and workspace standardization.\nDocument processes, SOPs, access models, and configurations to support operational transparency and repeatability.\nProvide white‑glove support to new and existing users, ensuring strong adoption and high user satisfaction.\nQualifications:\n\nRequired Skills and Experience:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
