Come grow with us!\nWe are seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join our team in Hickory, NC!\nJob Summary:\nThis position oversees the operation of the CNC mill and lathe machines to fabricate precision parts.\nHours: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday\nDuties and Essential Job Responsibilities:\nLoad materials or work pieces into machines after the first part inspection has been completed\nRemove products or work pieces from machines after the cycle is complete\nMeasure dimensions of completed products or work pieces to verify conformance to specifications. Compare to blueprint and check sheet dimensions and functional checks. Record results on the item check sheet.\nMonitor machine operation and control panel displays. Detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration\nMaintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations\nMaintain coolant and oil levels in all machines\nKeep machines and work area clean and well organized\nEmpty machine hoppers\nConfer with management to resolve machine malfunctions or production errors, or to obtain approval to continue production\nPerform operations such as deburring, part washing, grinding, or cutting material\nAbility to perform / document tooling offset changes\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing other tasks as needed\nOther Skills and Abilities:\nMust have the ability to work in a team atmosphere to obtain common goals and objectives\nDemonstrates effective listening skills\nAbility to concentrate, and pay close attention to detail\nStrong safety orientation. Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner\nAbility to read and comprehend blueprints and specifications provided by engineering\nBasic understanding of conventional measuring tools and techniques, to ensure compliance with technical specifications\nWorking knowledge of basic machine shop tools and equipment\nAbility to power on and operate CNC machines with minimal assistance\nRequirements:\nHigh School / GED\nTwo to five years of related experience\nPhysical Requirements:\nMachine shop work environment: Dust, grease, and metal shavings are common. Significant risks from equipment and the environment require constant care and vigilance. Be able to stand for long periods of time.
