The PE/QC role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the workflow process. This involves working with other in-house personnel (i.e. Project Managers, Superintendents, etc.) and external personnel to produce and document a quality product. The PE/QC reports directly to the Project Manager and, for the sake of assuring that a conflict of interest does not occur among the productivity, schedule, and the quality objectives of the project, also maintains a direct line of communication with the Operations Manager.\n\n* Create, update and maintain the project submittal register, project schedule and all other project specific quality control reports.\n* Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications.\n* Review project schedules to ensure that submittals and materials are available when needed.\n* Provide Quality Control reports that reinforce activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project’s established standard and constructively confronts non-conformances to produce the desired outcome in a timely manner.\n* Conduct preparatory, initial and follow-up meetings to establish an understanding of the standards of care desired for each definable feature of work.\n* Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project.\n* Conduct preconstruction meetings with new and existing subcontractors and the superintendent to discuss issues that affect quality.\n* Conduct final inspections and prepare punch lists.\n* Maintain the project “as-built” drawings on a daily basis.\n* Assemble and forward project closeout documents that include O&M manuals, as-builts and warranties.\n* Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned projects.\n* Work with owner representatives and DOR to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.\n* Responsible for the 3 phases of control required for project delivery (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow Up)\n* Perform quality control tasks on schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project’s status.\n* Cooperate and communicate with the Project Manager and other project participants to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project’s profitability.\n* Review the project tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions to resolve matters that affect quality, safety and/or inhibit the progress of the work.\n* Work with project team to ensure deliverables are on site per schedule and specifications.\n* Establish and coordinate field test methods and methods for monitoring the quality of those tests.\n* Coordinate commissioning of building systems.\n* Ensure the project’s compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.\n* Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving scheduling conflicts with project manager and project superintendent.\n* Attend and facilitate preconstruction conferences, utility coordination meetings, and weekly meetings to discuss progress or concerns on projects.\n* Communicate and prepare correspondence with the project manager, project owner and AE team through change orders, RFI’s and submittals.\n* Assist in developing scope sheets for subcontractors.\n* Maintain the construction documents “up to date” by incorporating addendums, ASI’s, as-built notes, etc. Receive approved submittals from design team and verify schedule adherence\n* Inform Accounting Department/Certified Payroll Clerk of subcontractor’s commencement of work.\n* Other duties as required/assigned by the company.\n\n*Experience:*\n\n* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or required.\n* 4+ years of construction or related field experience.\n* S.
