Shift Processing Operator","description":"Job Posting\nJob purpose\nProcessing Tech is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining fryer, seasoning, and raw pellet blending equipment, assuring that preset standards for product safety & quality and machine productivity are attained on a continuous basis.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\nThe associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:\n\nMachine Operation\n\nSet up and operate the machinery according to production specifications.\n\nAdjust machine settings to comply with the current specifications for pellet quality.\n\nOperate Fryers, Pellet and seasoning equipment.\n\nMonitor the machine during operation to detect any issues and make necessary adjustments.\n\nComplete tasks as directed.\n\nEquipment and area cleaning as needed.\n\nSelect the correct formula for processing parameters and set the machine controls as necessary.\n\nWork under the direction of the production supervisor and consult the production schedule to determine the item scheduled to run.\n\nMake independent judgements relative to machine function, use common tools as needed, and communicate effectively with Quality and Maintenance personnel.\n\nQuality Control\n\nInspect finished product for quality, ensuring they meet specifications.\n\nIdentify and address any defects or inconsistencies in the product.\n\nMaintain records of production output and quality.\n\nMust follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense.\n\nUnderstand HACCP and Food Safety principles and verify compliance to all Critical Control points and Preventative Quality Checkpoints to ensure a safe, quality product is produced consistently.\n\nMaintenance and Troubleshooting\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.\n\nCoordinate with supervisor and the maintenance team for more complex repairs.\n\nPerform changeover including removal of all guards, tensions, rollers.\n\nSafety and Compliance\n\nFollow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.\n\nReport any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.\n\nEnsure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.\n\nMaterial Handling\n\nLoad and unload bins onto the machine using appropriate lifting equipment.\n\nConduct the mixing and loading of ingredients into the process.\n\nEnsure materials are handled and stored properly to prevent damage or contamination.\n\nMaintain appropriate levels of mixed raw materials.\n\nEfficiency and Productivity\n\nWork closely with the production team to meet daily and weekly production targets.\n\nOptimize machine operation to reduce waste and maximize output.\n\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.\n\nQualifications Education and Experience\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n\nPrevious experience operating sheet‑and‑sealing machines or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred.\n\nSkills and Competencies\n\nStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and make machine adjustments.\n\nAttention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality products.\n\nBasic math skills for measuring and adjusting machine settings.\n\nAbility to read and interpret technical documents, including production orders and machine manuals.\n\nGood communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.\n\nMust be able to understand and proactively endorse GMP product protection regulations.\n\nWorking conditions\n\nWork may be exposed to hot temperatures from processing equipment.\n\nMay work close to others, usually within a few feet.\n\nCompliance with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and noise controls.\n\nPhysical requirements\n\nStanding for extended periods.\n\nMay repeat the same motions.\n\nOften wear safety equipment such as gloves, hair nets, steel‑toed shoes/boots, and beard nets.\n\nWillingness to work in a noisy and sometimes hot manufacturing environment.\n\nAbility to bend or twist their body as required.\n\nMust be able to
