This senior technical role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and tools that directly support mission-critical PNT systems used across the U.S. Navy.\nThe ideal candidate brings strong programming experience, hands-on development skills across multiple languages and platforms, and the ability to support complex software engineering tasks in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, test, and evaluate software applications supporting PNT-related systems and mission requirements.\nDevelop and maintain software using .NET tools, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and HTML editor tools.\nSupport the creation and enhancement of databases, web interfaces, and computer based training (CBT) modules.\nApply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with Navy and DoD software development standards.\nTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize software for performance, reliability, and maintainability.\nUtilize programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java to develop and maintain complex software solutions.\nSupport integration of software components with PNT systems, databases, and networked environments.\nParticipate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering design sessions.\nContribute to modernization efforts, including refactoring legacy code and transitioning applications to updated platforms.\nCollaborate with PNT engineers, analysts, and program managers to ensure software solutions align with mission needs.\nSupport testing and evaluation of PNT-related software tools, prototypes, and system enhancements.\nAssist in developing documentation, user guides, and technical reports for Government stakeholders.\nEnsure all development activities comply with NIWC, Navy, and DoD cybersecurity and configuration management requirements.\nActively work toward obtaining one or more relevant certifications, such as:\nProfessional Software Engineering Master (PSEM)\nCertified Software Development Professional (CSDP)\nMicrosoft MCAD or MCDBA\nRed Hat RHCP\nCISCO CCNP or CCDP\nOracle OCP\nVMware VCP\nCloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, etc.)\nRequired Qualifications\nActive Secret security clearance.\nHigh School diploma or GED\nThree (3) years of experience in:\nSoftware design\nSoftware development\nTest and evaluation\nDemonstrated experience in:\nDatabase development\nWeb page design\nComputer based training (CBT) development\n.NET tools and IDEs\nASP.NET\nSQL Server 2000\nHTML editor tools\nTwo (2) years of programming experience with C++, C#, or Java (may be concurrent with other experience).\nExperience supporting U.S. Navy programs, NIWC, NAVWAR, NAVSEA, or other DoD technical
