This role will focus on developing, implementing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes for cable and wire assemblies , ensuring processes are efficient, repeatable, scalable, and capable of meeting customer quality and delivery requirements.\n\nYou’ll work closely with Production, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to launch new products, improve existing processes, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and develop solutions that improve quality, productivity, and cost.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop, implement, and optimize cable and wire assembly manufacturing processes\n\nSupport new product introduction (NPI) and production launches by ensuring processes, tooling, documentation, and equipment are production-ready\n\nDevelop and maintain assembly instructions, process documentation, work instructions, and visual aids\n\nEstablish and improve processes for:\n\nWire preparation and cutting\n\nStripping and termination\n\nCrimping and connector assembly\n\nSoldering and splicing\n\nCable routing and assembly\n\nLabeling and identification\n\nElectrical and continuity testing\n\nSelect, develop, and improve fixtures, tooling, gauges, and manufacturing aids\n\nEvaluate crimping and termination processes and assist with crimp specifications, tooling selection, and process validation\n\nTroubleshoot manufacturing issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and eliminate recurring problems\n\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, efficiency, ergonomics, and cost reduction\n\nPartner with Production to identify process constraints, improve cycle times, and increase throughput\n\nAnalyze manufacturing data and develop reports, charts, and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities\n\nCollaborate with Design Engineering on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives\n\nReview new product designs and provide feedback regarding cable routing, connector selection, wire specifications, assembly methods, test requirements, and manufacturability\n\nSupport the development and implementation of process controls and inspection methods\n\nAssist with programming and troubleshooting of wire processing and test equipment\n\nResearch and recommend new cable/wire manufacturing technologies, equipment, tooling, and automation\n\nWork with suppliers as needed to address manufacturing, tooling, component, and process-related issues\n\nEnsure manufacturing processes comply with applicable quality standards, customer requirements, and company procedures\n\nProvide technical support and training to production personnel on new and improved processes\n\nEducation & Experience\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience , OR\n\nAssociate degree in a technical field with 4+ years of relevant experience , OR\n\nHigh school diploma with 6+ years of relevant cable/wire or manufacturing engineering experience\n\nExperience with cable and wire assembly manufacturing strongly preferred\n\nExperience in electronics, electromechanical, or contract manufacturing required\n\nExperience working in a regulated quality environment such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or AS9100 preferred\n\nSkills & Knowledge\n\nStrong knowledge of cable and wire assembly processes\n\nExperience with wire preparation, stripping, crimping, terminals, connectors, splicing, soldering, and cable assembly\n\nKnowledge of crimp specifications, applicators, tooling, and crimp quality requirements\n\nAbility to read and interpret wire lists, schematics, drawings, bills of materials, and engineering documentation\n\nFamiliarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards preferred\n\nUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles\n\nExperience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies\n\nKnowledge of process validation, capability studies, and Design of Experiments (DOE) preferred\n\nStrong technical writing and documentation skills\n\nAbility to analyze manufacturing data and present findings using charts and graphs\n\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint\n\nStrong organizational, analytical, and
