This position is responsible for complete oversight of the Wound Care Center, including day‑to‑day center operations, staff management, financial management, quality and performance improvement, and community education.\nThe Program Director/Program Manager also maintains collaborative and consultative client relationships within and outside the hospital organization, and creates effective working relationships between Healogics and the hospital. All Healogics employees must perform their responsibilities according to Healogics policies, hospital policies, accrediting organizations, federal and state regulations, and CMS guidelines.\nEssential Functions / Responsibilities Manages the Center’s Operations (20%) Oversees day‑to‑day management of outpatient clinic(s) and other wound continuum programs.\nContinuously assesses clinic flows, processes, and procedures; identifies areas of improvement and implements best practices.\nWorks with hospital and company personnel to ensure adequate resources, supplies, equipment, and services.\nFacilitates flow of information and maximizes effective communication throughout the program.\nPrioritizes responsibilities and directs clinical and non‑clinical staff work.\nCollaborates with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center providers, and the Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs.\nManages direct reports with hiring, coaching, counseling, performance expectations, and performance reviews.\n\nPerforms Financial Management (10%) Manages all aspects of the revenue cycle for Healogics and the hospital partner.\nStays current with reimbursement changes and educates physicians and staff as needed.\nReviews key financial reports, identifies trends, and implements best practices for fiscal responsibility.\nTracks and reports ancillary revenues generated by the program.\nManages costs through labor and supply utilization.\nWorks with the Healogics support team to complete financial reviews and present results to hospital leadership.\n\nManages Community Education / Marketing Functions (40%) Works directly with the hospital and Healogics marketing departments to establish marketing plans.\nCollaborates on a multi‑functional team to determine target referral sources and builds systematic approaches to increase referrals.\nMaintains and updates a list of physician practices within a given radius of the hospital.\nVisits physician practices, interacts with key physicians, and provides educational marketing materials.\nDocuments all physician office interactions and visits in the Healogics CRM system.\nCommunicates regularly with the (C)DO and/or (C)VPO and the hospital executive sponsor regarding goals and referral development information.\n\nManages Quality / Performance Improvement Functions (10%) Implements and manages a continuous Wound Care Center Performance Improvement Program (PIP) and strives to meet quality indicators.\nIntegrates program into the partner hospital’s PIP program.\nParticipates in hospital committees and ensures timely documentation in patient records and outcomes databases.\nMonitors patient, referring physician, and customer satisfaction.\nEnsures patient safety guidelines are followed and compliance requirements are completed.\n\nManages Relationships (15%) Maintains excellent relationships with the hospital client and continuously seeks to understand needs and align goals.\nIdentifies the hospital’s strategic goals and manages the program to achieve them while complying with Healogics standards.\nWorks effectively at all levels within the partner hospital.\nParticipates in hospital department/management meetings and communication activities.\nBuilds and develops effective working relationships with panel physicians, clinical and support staff.\nEncourages program staff to provide excellent customer service to other hospital departments.\nMeets regularly with leadership including hospital and area management.\nPerforms other duties as required.\n\nRequired Education, Experience and Credentials Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or a related field preferred, and 1 year of marketing/community education in the healthcare industry or clinical operations experience.\nAssociate’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or a related field preferred, and 2 or more years of marketing/community education in the healthcare industry or clinical operations experience.\nHigh School Diploma and 4 or more years of marketing/community education in the healthcare industry or clinical operations experience. Management experience preferred.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).\nStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including group presentation skills.\nStrong analytical and quantitative skills.\nStrong customer service and follow‑up skills.\nStrong organization, time‑management skills and ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.\nLeadership and teaching skills.\nStrong relationship building and influential skills.\nStrong team building and motivational skills.\nAbility to work with Healogics and hospital management.\nBudget and strategic planning skills.\nAbility to travel overnight.\nPhysical Demands Being in a stationary position for extended periods of time (4 hours or more).\nViewing a computer screen for extended periods of time (4 hours or more).\nKeying frequently on a computer for 4 hours or more.\nMoving around, reading, communicating, writing.\nLifting/moving items up to 20 pounds, pushing/pulling, bending/stooping.\nReaching, grasping, touching with hands.\nTraveling distances (car, airplane, etc.).\nColor perception.\nSalary The salary for this position generally ranges between $83,800.00 and $110,300.00 annually.
