Third-party contractors, staffing agencies, vendors, and Corp-to-Corp (C2C) arrangements will not be considered.\n\nPosition Summary\n\nUnder general supervision, the Engineer provides support for process characterization, optimization strategies, and troubleshooting of operational issues within operations, manufacturing, pilot plant, or capital project environments.\n\nThe Engineer applies fundamental engineering principles to the design and implementation of system modifications, experiments, and capital projects. This role also organizes, analyzes, and presents results related to operational issues and engineering projects of limited scope and complexity.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nEngineering & Technical Support\n\nProvide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.\nEvaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures under general supervision.\nPerform assignments with clear and specific objectives that require investigation of a limited number of variables.\nInitiate and complete routine technical tasks.\nApply engineering principles to solve technical issues in a production environment.\nDevelop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.\nSupport process characterization, optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities.\n\nOperations Engineering\n\nServe as a technical resource for equipment and systems, including operational troubleshooting.\nBecome actively involved in daily operations when required to meet schedules or resolve complex problems.\nRoutinely audit the operational performance and regulatory compliance of equipment and systems of moderate quantity and significant complexity.\nCollaborate with Research, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Process Development, Utilities, Facilities, Quality Assurance, and Validation teams to develop requirements and recommendations for system modifications.\nApply engineering science and technical knowledge to support production operations.\nSupport packaging equipment-related activities, including process characterization, validation, monitoring, and optimization.\n\nDesign Engineering & Capital Projects\n\nWork under the direction of project managers to support design, engineering, and construction projects within established schedule and budget constraints.\nCollaborate with consultants, architects, and engineering firms in the development of standard design documents.\nObtain and evaluate quotations for equipment modifications or installations.\nPrepare basic project cost estimates and schedules.\nSupport engineering modifications, experiments, and capital projects as assigned.\n\nValidation, Quality & Compliance\n\nSupport validation activities and understand validation protocol execution requirements.\nPrepare and/or contribute to validation protocols and technical documentation.\nWork effectively within a highly regulated environment.\nApply applicable GLP and GMP requirements to engineering and production activities.\nConduct root cause investigations and support the identification and management of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).\nApply statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies as appropriate.\n\nCommunication & Documentation\n\nOrganize, analyze, and present technical results and recommendations.\nPrepare basic technical reports and presentations.\nCommunicate effectively with cross-functional teams in both Spanish and English, verbally and in writing.\nMaintain strong personal organization and adapt effectively to changing priorities and requirements.\nAdditional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.\n\nRequired Education\n\nMaster’s degree in Engineering, or\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 2 years of engineering experience.\n\nPreferred Qualifications & Experience\n\nExperience working in a GMP-regulated environment within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotechnology industry.\nWorking knowledge of pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology processes.\nFamiliarity with validation processes and documentation within a highly regulated environment.\nFamiliarity with packaging equipment, process characterization, validation, monitoring, and optimization techniques.\nAbility to interpret and apply GLP and GMP requirements.\nAbility to apply engineering principles to production-related technical issues.\nStrong problem-solving and
