Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator – Waste & Hauling Industry

Location: South Plainfield, NJPosition Type: Full-TimeCompensation: Salary to be discussed based on experience and qualificationsStilo Disposal is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Dispatcher / Operations Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a fast-paced position that requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to think several steps ahead while managing daily operations.Waste hauling, trash, roll-off, or transportation industry experience is strongly preferred.Responsibilities:Dispatch and coordinate drivers, trucks, and containers efficiently throughout the dayMonitor routes, schedules, and service requestsCommunicate with customers, drivers, and vendors regarding service needsTroubleshoot operational issues and develop solutions in real timeManage service schedules, swaps, deliveries, pickups, and special requestsEnter and maintain accurate data within company software systemsGenerate reports and maintain operational recordsAssist with customer service and account management as neededWork closely with management to improve efficiency and productivityAnticipate operational challenges and proactively address them before they become problemsQualifications:Previous dispatching experience requiredWaste, recycling, roll-off, transportation, or hauling industry experience preferredStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordComfortable learning and navigating multiple software platformsAbility to work independently and figure things out without constant directionExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong multitasking abilities in a high-pressure environmentProven problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsForward-thinking mindset with strong attention to detailReliable, dependable, and highly responsiveStrong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of responsibilitiesBonus Qualifications:Accounts Payable experienceCustomer billing and invoicing experienceExperience with state reporting requirements related to waste and recycling operationsKnowledge of industry-specific software systemsExperience preparing operational and compliance reportsWhat We're Looking For:We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands that no two days are the same.
