Responsible for implementing infrastructure solutions, performing hardware installations, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing operational support for network and server environments.\nBasic Purpose\nProvide onsite technical support for data center infrastructure and equipment to ensure continuous system availability. Perform troubleshooting, escalations, and incident resolution while working with internal support teams and vendors to maintain optimal system performance. Exercise sound judgment, work independently, and follow established operational procedures and quality standards.\nResponsibilities\nPerform network installation and maintenance, including rack and stack, cabling, hardware installation, and parts replacement.\nInstall and maintain server hardware, including hard drives, memory, CPUs, RAID batteries, and network interface cards.\nSupport data center staging, deployment, logistics, and asset management activities.\nParticipate in site builds, technology refreshes, and infrastructure deployments while maintaining quality standards.\nPerform hardware break/fix, moves, additions, changes, and component replacement.\nInstall, terminate, label, and test fiber and copper cabling according to industry standards.\nPerform Cat6 cable termination and certification.\nCreate, update, and maintain rack elevations using DCIM applications (such as Nlyte or similar).\nMaintain inventory records and documentation for infrastructure equipment.\nTroubleshoot, resolve, and escalate infrastructure incidents and problems.\nCoordinate with internal technical teams and third-party vendors to resolve outages and performance issues.\nProvide status updates on active incidents and completed work.\nPerform preventive maintenance on network and data center equipment.\nSupport out-of-band management and KVM systems.\nManage Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and monitor power utilization.\nWork with NEMA and IEC power connectors.\nSupport data center containment systems and airflow management.\nDevelop and maintain technical procedures and site documentation.\nFollow established data center safety standards.\nLift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.\nPerform additional duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience supporting enterprise data center or IT operations environments.\nKnowledge of software and hardware tools used in data center operations.\nKnowledge of LAN/WAN networking concepts, protocols, and standards.\nExperience with routers, switches, and firewalls.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to work in a 24x7 operational environment with participation in on-call rotations.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team.\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience with structured copper and fiber cabling, including installation, testing, and troubleshooting.\nFamiliarity with optical and electrical transceivers, including SFP+, QSFP+, GLCT, DAC, CFP2, and DWDM.\nKnowledge of server hardware and infrastructure components.\nUnderstanding of electrical standards, connector types, AC/DC power, single-phase and three-phase power systems, and power budgeting.\nKnowledge of data center airflow, cooling, and heat dissipation best practices.\nStrong cable management and documentation skills.\nDetail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nExperience installing, configuring, and maintaining Cisco routers and switches.\nExperience presenting technical recommendations and infrastructure solutions.\nKnowledge of hardware/software interactions across enterprise systems.\nAdvanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.\nExperience with DCIM platforms such as Nlyte.\nMust-Have Skills\nExperience with routers, switches, and firewalls.\nStrong networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP).\nData center operations and infrastructure support.\nRack and stack, server installation, and hardware maintenance.\nFiber and copper cabling installation and testing.\nHardware troubleshooting and break/fix support.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication and documentation skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nExperience supporting enterprise infrastructure in a 24x7 environment.\nPay: $60.00 -
