The Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) is a worldwide Department of Defense (DoD) network designed to transmit time-sensitive tactical and strategic intelligence and targeting data from various sources to authorized users across all echelons, in near real-time. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, porting, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that align with our company’s objectives and standards. This role requires a collaborative team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will have extensive knowledge of system implementation and full project lifecycle experience. We are seeking candidates with substantial experience in full stack web application development, implementation, and maintenance best practices.ResponsibilitiesSubsequently, breaking out custom front-end web applications and back-end data services into modules across a cluster of machines using an architecture (e.g., Docker) on a containerized platform (e.g., Kubernetes)Port front-end web applications and back-end Java and C++ services from the Solaris environment to the Redhat Open Shift (Linux) environment.Making recommendations and applying best technical design to meet customer requirementsContinuously innovating to automate processes, implement best practices, and improve the overall system architecture’s scalability, high availability, and performanceActively engaging in agile development practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and software peer reviewsDebugging and troubleshooting code to resolve issues promptlyWriting and executing successful unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end testsDocumenting technical designs, processes, and any issues encounteredQualificationsRequired:Currently hold an active Secret clearance and ability to successfully achieve a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearanceBS in Computer Science or other technical disciplineMinimum of 5+ years of professional experience in software developmentStrong front-end web development skills.
