The Construction Quality Inspector is a field role which provides inspection services for transportation related projects. This role is capable and comfortable providing inspection services for all grading tasks and can observe and inspect some aspects of large super structure construction. It must have a firm understanding of project specifications, the schedule of materials control and other relevant DOT related specifications. National recognized certifications such as NICET- Transportation Inspector are encouraged for career growth within the industry. This role can lead, or lead a team, on regional transportation projects or larger design build/ infrastructure enhancement projects. This position spends most of the time in the field providing inspections for transportation related projects.\nLocation: Duluth, MN.\nResponsibilities Preform observation and inspection duties on transportation related projects\nHas a firm grasp on local DOT regulations/specifications, schedule of material control and specific project requirements\nRegularly communicates both written and verbally the progress of a project\nWorks with project teams both internally and externally to address project issues\nHas a broad understanding of Braun Intertec’s core services and capabilities of those offerings\nMaintains and pursues national recognized DOT certifications\nUnderstands the flow of DOT projects and how to obtain information\nTrains and mentors other Quality Inspectors\nVery good written and verbal communication skills\nRequirements 5+ years related work experience in materials testing or construction\nMnDOT level II certifications in Concrete, Bituminous or Grading & Base\nACI Field Grade 1 preferred\nDemonstrates a commitment to working safely and participates in all safety initiatives and policies\nStrong plan reading skills, excellent organizational skills, high customer service orientation\nAbility to work in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities, strong communication and interpersonal skills\nAttention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality\nStrong technical aptitude, collaborative and highly engaged\nHigh School diploma or equivalent, Associates degree preferred\nDemonstrated experience and skill in using MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, and Outlook)\nComfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions\nAble to lift 50 to 75 pounds. A valid driver’s license\nCompensation and Benefits Compensation Range: $73,000.00 - $109,000.00.
