In the automotive sector, our recipe for success is: finding solutions today for the challenges of tomorrow.\n\nCold Heading Operator\n\nReports to: Department Supervisor Department: Cold Heading\nClassification: Hourly Division: Manufacturing\nDate: 03/25/2025 Shift: 2nd and 3rd\n\nJOB SUMMARY:\nOperators are responsible for all aspects of safely operating Cold Heading Machines. Candidates will load and feed wire, basic adjust and ensure all settings are proper to achieve optimal results, follow work instruction processes and keep work area clean and organized.\n\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\n\nLearn and apply the use of cold forming principles\nIdentify the difference in wire size\nAbility read and understand steel-labels and lot-control tags\nGrip and operate various hand tools including, electric grinder, bolt cutters, and wrenches\nFollow 6-S principles\nCheck parts for defects and well as to perform CAQ on parts\nAbility to understand and measure parts using appropriate measuring tools\nAbility to use and analyze micrometers, calipers and all other measuring devices\nOil Changes\nRead job and tool cards.\nPerform basic tool changes, tear down and clean up of machines\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nAlways work in a safe manner, understanding safety and quality are priority\nFill out any required paperwork.\nWelding / wire\nUse of computer systems\nPerforms other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.\nJOB QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nPhysically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and reach\nAble to lift up to 50 lbs.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nBasic mathematic skills to include the use of decimals and fractions\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nPunctual, reliable, and team-oriented\nEquivalent 6+ months of manufacturing experience OR 1-year experience as a mechanic in any of the following fields – transportation, aviation, naval or agricultural\nENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES:\n\nNoise – Laboratory machines.\nChemicals, oils, acids, sprays, coolants and solvents.\nNoise – heavy machinery – if in plant.\nNoise – vibratory bowls and air feed systems – if in plant.\nResponsible for complying with regulations and standards covered under MISOSHA as well as not damaging, moving, interfering or removed any safety related item that is provided.\nCONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:\n\nTraining to be completed annually\nPlease refer to training matrix\nRelyans Max is an Equal Opportunity employer of qualified individuals and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
