If you’re looking to grow your skills, take on meaningful challenges, and make a real impact, Excel Engineering offers the opportunity to do just that.\nRole Overview\nLead department meetings to identify, discuss, and resolve issues.\nCommunicate department needs and updates to company leadership.\nAlign department initiatives with annual and quarterly company goals.\nManage departmental profit and loss performance.\nLead, inspire, mentor, and coach team members.\nOversee talent acquisition and retention efforts.\nManage personnel performance and conduct regular performance reviews.\nSupport training and skills development within the department.\nApprove and monitor project budgets.\nAssign resources and manage departmental workload planning.\nMonitor project risks and support mitigation strategies.\nFacilitate lessons-learned reviews and ensure knowledge sharing.\nEngage with and support project stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.\nMaintain strong Client relationships through ongoing communication and follow-up.\nGather and respond to Client feedback.\nLead proposal efforts, including scoping, estimating, bid/no-bid decisions, and communication strategies.\nIdentify and pursue prospective project opportunities.\nEnsure department processes, procedures, and work instructions are current and consistently followed.\nProvide technical direction and support to team members.\nHelp resolve technical challenges and ensure project quality.\nEnsure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.\nRequirements:\nExperience\nMinimum of six (6) years or more of experience in electrical engineering design\nElectrical design experience in the following industries preferred: manufacturing, consumer goods, renewable energy, gas processing, chemical and/or life sciences\nFive (5) years or more in a role managing engineers and technical staff\nExpertise in National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA70E and other applicable codes and standards\nProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure is strongly preferred\nEducation\nB.S in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institute.
