We are looking for an experienced Concrete Foreman who can lead crews, coordinate pours, solve field issues, and help us bring more concrete work in-house.\n\nThis is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands concrete from layout through finish. Our projects include slabs, piers, sidewalks, foundations, site improvements, and specialty opportunities such as pool-related concrete work. The right person will have steady work, strong pay potential, and the opportunity to help build and train a growing field team.\n\nHow You Will Make an Impact\n\nLead concrete crews on daily field operations, including layout, forming, pouring, finishing, curing, and cleanup.\nRead and interpret drawings, site plans, measurements, grades, and specifications.\nCoordinate concrete deliveries, pump trucks, material needs, tools, and crew assignments.\nPlan daily work around weather, delivery timing, site access, and project priorities.\nBuild and check forms, sub-base preparation, grade, slope, layout, and finish quality.\nTrain and mentor laborers and junior crew members on safe, efficient concrete practices.\nCommunicate clearly with project managers, field leaders, and ownership on schedule, blockers, and progress.\nMaintain safe jobsites and reinforce proper PPE, equipment use, and OSHA-aligned practices.\nHelp identify strong laborers who can grow into lead or foreman-level roles.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\n\nProven concrete field experience with the ability to lead crews and direct daily work.\nStrong knowledge of concrete placement, forming, sub-base prep, finishing, curing, and quality control.\nAbility to read plans, measurements, and specifications and turn them into field execution.\nExperience coordinating labor, materials, deliveries, and equipment.\nStrong communication skills with field crews, project leaders, and support teams.\nAbility to work outdoors in physically demanding construction environments.\nReliability, accountability, and strong judgment on active jobsites.\n\nPreferred Qualifications & Experience\n\n5+ years of concrete construction experience.\nPrior foreman, lead, or crew leadership experience.\nExperience with slabs, piers, sidewalks, foundations, pools, or specialty concrete.\nExperience scheduling pours and coordinating pump trucks.\nBilingual English/Spanish.\nValid driver’s license, Class E, or CDL.\nMilitary or veteran background is welcomed.\n\nCompensation & Benefits\n\nWeekly pay cycle.\nPerformance-based bonus and project completion incentive opportunities.\nReferral bonus program.\nCompany-provided tools and vehicles may be available depending on role, project, and qualifications.\nTool replacement support.\nTraining and certification opportunities, including OSHA, fall protection, equipment lifts, and safety training.\nPaid training, mentorship, and advancement opportunities.\nRelocation assistance, housing, travel support, or per diem may be available for select higher-level candidates or projects.\nLong-term project pipeline with local work where employees generally go home each night.\nAnnual company events and team activities.\n\nAbout Us\n\nHeartbeat Development is a fast-growing construction and development company with a strong pipeline of projects in the Mount Vernon, MO region.
