Here are the details on this position.\n\nYour role in our mission\n\nCodes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs.\nAssists in the modification of company products and/or customer/internal systems to meet the needs of the client and/or end-user.\nGathers information from the system, analyzes program and time requirements, and prepares documentation to change existing programs.\nResearches and analyzes existing systems and program requirements, under periodic supervision.\nAnalyze, design, and review design of applications and suites of applications to ensure that customer specifications are satisfied.\nAble to create complex design documents and translate them into component-level designs to accelerate development.\nUtilizes experience in development methodologies, coding documentation, testing methodology and industry standards to define and develop project requirements, functional specifications and detailed design of application solutions for clients.\nApplies Gainwell and 3rd party technologies to software solutions of moderate to advanced complexity.\nDevelop strategy, design and data gathering approaches.\nDesigns programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.\nWrites specifications for programs of moderate complexity.\nAssists in resolving production support problems.\nDevelops and suggests alternative approaches to resolving problems.\nDevelops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Identifies issues as appropriate.\nDeveloping and executing regression testing strategies\nCreating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation such as design and testing documents\nConducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.\nRemains abreast of and researches industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.\n\nWhat we're looking for\n\n3+ years of experience in applications development and batch programming, with some experience making changes to moderately complex batch business applications, using C.\nExperience with the following:\nProficiency in C programming, including experience with performance optimization, memory management and debugging.\nStrong SQL skills, preferably using embedded in C, using an Oracle database\nHands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting, process management, file systems\nVisual Studio Code within the Azure Framework preferable or other IDE, including debugger tools\nCoverity/ASQC Proof of Code Scan Tools or the like, coding changes compliant with industry standard coding practices\nIWS (IBM Workload Scheduler) - job stream/job execution application\nrTrace - documentation repository and code base release scheduler\nTFS, Git or other versions of software\nAdvanced understanding of testing tools and unit test scripting, and testing methodologies.\nGeneral understanding of Medicaid (specifically Business Policy Admin), HIPAA, and PHI\nHighly desired experience: Healthcare and Medicare systems; Medicaid claims adjudication\n\nWhat you should expect in this role\n\nFully remote opportunity with the option to work anywhere within the United States\nOpportunities to travel through your work (0-10%)\nWillingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required\nVideo cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation\n\n#LI-SH1\n#LI-REMOTE\n\nThe deadline to submit applications for this posting is June 26, 2026\n\nThe pay range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
