Modern Sales is a strategic transformation program focused on modernizing the energy sales process through advanced analytics, data-driven decisioning, and AI-enabled technology. The platform enables sales teams to leverage customer, market, and operational data to improve decision-making, identify opportunities, and deliver more effective customer interactions.As the Modern Sales platform continues to scale across markets, the Senior Data Scientist will play a critical role in the development, enhancement, governance, and production support of the analytical and AI capabilities that power the platform. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, software developers, and technical leadership to translate complex sales requirements into scalable analytical solutions and ensure models and decisioning capabilities remain accurate, reliable, explainable, and production ready. This is a hands-on senior-level role requiring strong expertise in Python, Databricks, data science, machine learning, and production analytical systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating beyond traditional model development and taking ownership of solutions throughout their lifecycle, including requirements definition, development, validation, deployment, monitoring, governance, and continuous improvement.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; OR equivalent professional experience5+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, advanced analytics, or a related technical disciplineStrong hands-on experience developing production-grade solutions using PythonAdvanced experience with PySpark and Pandas for large-scale data processing and analytical workflowsHands-on experience working within Databricks or a comparable enterprise data and analytics platformExperience designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models, predictive analytics, scoring models, or decisioning solutionsStrong understanding of feature engineering, model evaluation, validation, optimization, and performance monitoringExperience translating complex business requirements and rules into scalable approaches, and other data-driven solutions that improve sales decision-making.Translate complex business rules and domain logic into maintainable, testable, and production-ready analytical components.Integrate AI and LLM capabilities into Modern Sales workflows when appropriate while ensuring solutions meet enterprise standards for security, reliability, and responsible AI.Establish and maintain standards for model governance, validation, monitoring, documentation, data quality, and analytical consistency across the Modern Sales program.Monitor production models and analytical solutions for performance, accuracy, data drift, anomalies, and other issues that could impact business outcomes.Partner with data engineering and full-stack development teams to integrate analytical capabilities into customer-facing and internal sales applications.Participate in Git-based development, code reviews, testing, CI/CD processes, and production deployments.Troubleshoot production issues involving models, analytical pipelines, data quality, business logic, or application integrations.Identify opportunities to improve existing models, analytical processes, and decisioning capabilities as the Modern Sales platform expands across markets.Support testing, validation, releases, and post-production activities for new Modern Sales capabilities.Create and maintain technical documentation covering models, methodologies, assumptions, dependencies, business rules, and production support procedures.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data science and engineering resources supporting the program.Collaborate across product, sales, data engineering, software engineering, and business teams to ensure Modern Sales capabilities are scalable, governed,
