Infant/Toddler Teacher
Job Description: INFANT TEACHER
Wonderful and prominent preschool seeks to add a dedicated & motivated teacher with 12+ units in Child Development, CPR and First Aide Training, and administrative units. Excellent English grammar and speech is required.
We are looking for someone who follows instructions and school policies, and is professional in appearance and manners with staff, parents, management and children. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, energetic and nurturing personality (with Prior Teaching experience a Plus).
Education & Qualifications/Skills:
· Twelve (12) Units in Early Childhood Education.
· Teacher's Permit, Infant studies and and Montessori Accreditation a PLUS.
· Pediatric (infant/toddler) CPR and First Aid certificate and 15 hours of health and safety training.
· Previous experience in an assistant director or administrative role in an educational setting - (not required but a plus)
· Experience in the classroom a plus, volunteering experience at least.
· Flexibility to care for infants or any other age level as needed.
· Knowledgeable in all of aspects of child development, creative classroom environments, best practices and NAEYC self study.
· Fingerprint, Life Scan and TB clearance is required upon being hired.
Job Responsibilities:
· Positive mindset towards child’s learning and social-emotional development.
· Facilitates problem solving and communicates effectively with students.
· Preparing for lessons or setting up activities and collaborating with other teachers to develop age-appropriate curriculum.
· Engage and encourage students to use and develop their language skills, social skills and manners.
· Monitor students' playtime and physical activities by supervising students in class, between classes, during lunch, and play periods.
· Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials.
· Enforce school-wide safety procedures, disciplinary codes, and rewards
· Ensure space and shared toys are clean, sanitized, and orderly.
· Document student developments and progress to share with parents.
