As a member of a small and focused Solutions Development Team, you may be required to perform various duties within the software development lifecycle – analysis, designer, developer and unit tester. Other duties may be assigned.\nDesign, develop, test, and enhance software systems that perform critical, real-time processing of data collected from toll collection equipment, executing business logic and decision-making based on incoming data.\nBuild and maintain robust, scalable, multi-threaded services and applications using C#, modern .NET frameworks, and various APIs.\nParticipate in daily Scrum meetings, provide updates on task progress and collaborate closely with the team to ensure timely delivery of sprint goals.\nContribute to design discussions for new toll system features and performance improvements to existing functionality.\nAssist in system installations and provide post deployment support for customer reported issues\nAssist in trouble shooting customer reported bugs and update the program code base for bug resolutions\nProvide experience-based timelines and estimates for delivering high-quality products based on requirements and specifications.\nDemonstrate hands-on experience building and deploying containerized applications, contributing to modernized and portable deployment workflows.\nDocument program code thoroughly and assist in preparing or updating user manuals and technical guides.\nRequirements and Qualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or a related Engineering field required, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in computer science or a related Engineering field is highly preferred.\n5+ years professional software development experience building multi-threaded applications in C# using.NET Core (now .NET), primarily on Linux based systems\nStrong foundation in Object-Oriented Architecture (OOA) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles, with the ability to design modular, maintainable, and scalable systems.\nProven ability to design and implement scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices.\nExperience with database development using Microsoft SQL Server.\nPractical experience developing, packaging, and deploying applications using Docker or similar containerization technologies. Demonstrated passion for software design, problem solving, and hands-on development, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable software solutions.\nAdvanced experience developing applications using .NET Core (now .NET), and modern .NET technologies.\nExperience working in web and desktop/application environments is beneficial for understanding end-to-end system behavior, though primary responsibilities focus on backend services running in Linux-based production environment understanding end-to-end system behavior, though primary responsibilities focus on backend services and APIs.\nAbility to build, deploy, and troubleshoot applications running in Linux-based production environments.\nHands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.\nWorking knowledge of message queues and asynchronous/event-driven communication patterns.\nStrong commitment to unit testing, code quality, and delivering maintainable, high‑reliability software.\nStrong understanding of component-based web application architectures and clear separation of concerns between frontend clients and backend services.\nFamiliarity with modern frontend frameworks and tools such as Angular, Kendo UI, and Tailwind are desirable.\nExcellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, especially in diagnosing complex technical challenges.\nPhysical Demands/Work Environment\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
