This individual will play a key role in strengthening financial visibility, enhancing controls, optimizing working capital, and supporting the organization's continued growth and profitability.\nThis opportunity is ideal for a hands-on finance leader with deep manufacturing experience and a proven track record guiding organizations through leadership transitions, growth initiatives, acquisitions, restructurings, or operational transformations.\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategic Financial Leadership\nServe as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and executive leadership team.\nProvide financial insight and strategic guidance to support business objectives.\nEvaluate and enhance financial reporting, processes, and internal controls.\nDevelop strategies to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational performance.\nIdentify risks and opportunities impacting the organization.\nFinancial Planning & Analysis\nLead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.\nDevelop rolling forecasts and monthly financial performance reviews.\nAnalyze revenue trends, margins, labor costs, SG&A expenses, and manufacturing performance.\nEstablish and monitor financial and operational KPIs.\nDeliver actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.\nManufacturing Finance & Cost Accounting\nOversee cost accounting and standard costing functions.\nAnalyze product profitability, inventory management, and manufacturing efficiencies.\nEvaluate production variances and develop margin improvement initiatives.\nPartner with operations leadership to strengthen plant performance and cost controls.\nSupport inventory accuracy and cycle count programs.\nCash Flow & Treasury Management\nLead cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital initiatives.\nOptimize accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory performance.\nManage banking relationships and debt compliance requirements.\nOversee 13-week cash flow forecasting processes.\nMonitor borrowing base calculations and lender reporting obligations.\nAccounting & Financial Reporting\nEnsure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.\nOversee accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and general accounting.\nMaintain compliance with GAAP and company policies.\nLead month-end and year-end close procedures.\nEnhance reporting packages and executive financial dashboards.\nInternal Controls & Compliance\nAssess, strengthen, and document internal controls and governance processes.\nCoordinate annual audit activities and manage external auditor relationships.\nEnsure compliance with tax, regulatory, and lender requirements.\nReview and improve accounting policies and procedures.\nSpecial Projects & Business Transformation\nSupport ERP optimization and financial systems improvements.\nParticipate in M&A, integration, carve-out, and restructuring initiatives as needed.\nLead profitability enhancement and cost reduction projects.\nAssist with capital planning and investment analysis.\nQualifications\nRequired Experience\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.\n15+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience.\nPrevious experience as a CFO, Interim CFO, VP of Finance, or Finance Director.\nManufacturing industry experience required.\nStrong background in cost accounting and inventory-intensive environments.\nExperience managing banking relationships and debt facilities.\nExperience supporting privately held, family-owned, or private equity-backed organizations preferred.\nPreferred Credentials\nCPA, CMA, and/or MBA preferred.\nTechnical Expertise\nGAAP financial reporting\nManufacturing finance and cost accounting\nFinancial planning and analysis (FP&A)\nTreasury and cash management\nBudgeting, forecasting, and business modeling\nERP systems and manufacturing software platforms\nBanking relationships and covenant compliance\nWhy This Opportunity?\nThis engagement offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a growing manufacturing organization by partnering with executive leadership to improve financial performance, enhance operational visibility, and position the business for sustained success.
