Here, making a real difference isn’t just a goal - it’s what we do, one conversation at a time.\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nThe Output Processing Operator is responsible for producing, printing, inserting, processing, and preparing critical customer communications and financial documents while ensuring the highest levels of quality, accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across MetLife's U.S. Operations. This role is essential to supporting MetLife's commitment to delivering important customer materials accurately and on time, while maintaining regulatory and USPS compliance throughout the production process.\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment where your attention to detail and expertise directly contribute to delivering millions of customer communications securely, accurately, and efficiently, while helping drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nOperate high-speed inserters and printers according to established procedures.\nProperly sets up and operates MICR Printers, check inserters, folders, copiers.\nExpert knowledge in QA of all outputs inspected for quality and accuracy. All Output counts must be exact at all times.\nAll problems must be immediately reported to the Area Supervisor and / or management.\nTrains and assists peers. Uses time productively. Seeks additional work during slack periods and helps others in meeting commitments.\nExpert knowledge in keeping accurate and precise counts on all log sheets of all checks printed, inserted, presort and special handling.\nProficiency in maintaining all required meter logs, reconciliation logs, postage reports, check inventory logs accurately.\nProficiency in making sound decisions, when necessary, ensure all commitments are met. Will take corrective action with all problems encountered.\nGives clear and precise carryover instructions to all co-workers taking over for them.\nExpert knowledge in all procedures dealing with MA&H cancellations. This includes matching, notarizing, mass certified, and affiant responsibilities. Also prepares spoiled postage reports and meter replenishments.\nProficient at taking corrective action regarding problems encountered in all areas.\nCompletes all supporting paper documentation according to USPS regulations. Maintains accurate logs pertaining to the mail presort operation.\nLoad materials, such as envelopes and documents, into the equipment.\nMonitor machine operation and make adjustments as necessary.\nPerform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning the equipment and changing out ink.\nEnsure the accuracy and quality of outgoing mail and printed materials.\nFollow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nAble to make sound decisions, when necessary, to ensure all commitments are met, taking corrective action with all problems encountered, and complete all special handling requests as directed withing the instructions given.\nPosition includes pushing, pulling, lifting. Lifting can be from 20lbs to 50 lbs. Position is considered light industrial.\nHigh School Diploma\nExperience in a production setting\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n1-3 years Experience in a production setting\nPrevious experience operating high-speed print, inserting, or mail processing equipment in a production environment.\nWorking knowledge of quality control procedures and ability to identify and resolve production discrepancies.\n\nThe expected salary range for this position is $41,600 - $53,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
