This role offers exposure to state-of-the-art testing facilities and the opportunity to contribute to next-generation cooling solutions supporting decarbonization, data center efficiency, AI-enabled manufacturing, and sustainability initiatives.\n\nHow you will do it:\n\nContribute as part of a growing engineering team addressing new control system needs in decarbonization and data center cooling\nDesign, implement, test, and support control software for chillers and air handling units used in data centers, large facilities, and industrial environments\nDevelop reliable and maintainable code using MATLAB/Simulink, applying model-based design principles for embedded systems\nApply control theory fundamentals (modeling, simulation, statistics, data acquisition) to develop robust and efficient control solutions\nAnalyze system and test data to support controller development, performance optimization, and product validation\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers throughout product development activities\nParticipate in laboratory and field testing activities to validate control performance and troubleshoot issues\nSupport technical reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of controls development processes\n\nWhat we look for:\n\nRequired:\n\nBS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline; MS preferred\n4-6 years of controls, automation, embedded systems, or related engineering experience, or an MS degree with relevant industry experience\nExperience developing control algorithms and software using MATLAB/Simulink\nWorking knowledge of model-based design principles for embedded systems\nFamiliarity with control systems concepts, modeling, simulation, and data analysis\nExperience supporting product development, validation testing, and troubleshooting efforts\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced engineering environment\nWorking ability to read and understand embedded C/C++ code and use scripting tools such as Python or MATLAB\n\nSALARY: $76,000 - $100,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
