{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"edfdc5613113d5eea1aaec62","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/edfdc5613113d5eea1aaec62","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/edfdc5613113d5eea1aaec62","title":"Process Engineer","description":"It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!\nWe're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.\nRoles\nLead and investigate process optimization.\nBuild a capacity model by analyzing SAP data from production work centers, material numbers and drawing numbers.\nLead and manage project deliverables.\nReview workplace safety and ergonomics for the facility.\nCollaborates with teams across various disciplines to implement methods and modifications to reduce production costs and increase production capacity.\nCollaborates with Business Insights, Sales and Costing on new business opportunities.\n\nResponsibilities\nCollaborates with teams across various disciplines to implement methods and modifications to reduce production costs and increase production capacity.\nCollaborates with teams across various disciplines to implement methods and modifications to reduce production costs and increase production capacity.\nEliminate/Minimize production defects and poor quality thru process improvements.\nPerform GEMBA walks in each production area to identify gaps in the process.\nPerform the 8 types of waste (DOWNTIME) analysis.\nDefine solutions to process issues and its completion timelines such as hand tools, standard WIP, system transactions, etc.\nDevelop and sustain manufacturing line layout.\nCollaborates with teams across various disciplines to implement methods and modifications to reduce production costs and increase production capacity.\nAnalyze customer requirements to develop manufacturing process within those parameters such as lead time, head count, takt time, identifying the bottleneck in the process, maximize raw material usage, labor cost, etc.\nIdentify production capacity and machine capabilities for growth opportunities.\nApply Lean tools such as 5s, Process Flow Map, Plan Do Check Act, Total Preventive Maintenance, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and Value Stream Map.\nJob Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nBe attentive to details and comfortable with incomplete information.\nArrive on time, prepared and willing to learn/participate in new projects.\nHave a sense of urgency and positive attitude with project deliverables and obstacles.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in all levels of the organization.\nThorough understanding of ergonomics and applicable industry standards.\nAbility to understand manufacturing process flows and production methods.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and computer-aided design (AutoCAD).\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.\nMust be able to lift 15 pounds at times.\nMust be able to access and navigate all areas in the facility and access all machinery.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering required\nLean Green Six Sigma certification\nCertificate in AutoCAD desirable\nWork Environment\nManufacturing plant environment with extreme fluctuation in temperature.\nDusty and noisy environment.\nExposure to odors and fumes.\nOther Duties\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
