Metro Chicago Chemistry Toxicology Lab Supervisor

JOB LOCATION: STREAMWOOD, ILLINOIS.We are seeking a qualified General Supervisor to lead our high-complexity Toxicology laboratory operations (on-site, full/part-time). This role is critical for ensuring the accuracy of our clinical results while maintaining strict compliance with CLIA and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) regulations.The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and a detail-oriented leader capable of navigating the specific regulatory landscape of Illinois.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of laboratory training or experience in high-complexity testing (Toxicology preferred).Illinois/CLIA Standards: Must meet the requirements for General Supervisor under 42 CFR § 493.1461.Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS platforms and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).Preferred SkillsPrevious experience in a CAP-accredited environment.Strong understanding of Illinois-specific laboratory licensure and reporting rules.Excellent communication skills.Previous lab supervisor experience.
