Partner with the best in the heavy-duty industry and apply today!\n\nThis is a 2nd Shift Opportunity in Outbound\nJob Description\n\nIn this role you will lead an inbound and outbound operation at a FleetPride Distribution Center. You will be responsible for leading, developing and engaging a team of frontline supervisors. Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse workers. Operations Managers are problem solvers able to interpret data and deliver meaningful results that drive productivity and efficiency.\n\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nSupport all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment.\n\nLead and develop team of front line supervisors and hourly associates\n\nMaintain compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when needed\n\nMentoring, training and developing teammates for career progression, performance improvement and recognition\n\nIdentify and lead process improvement initiatives\n\nBuild and deliver productivity plans by reviewing forecasts, determine productivity requirements and partner with other Ops Mgr in the supply chain network\n\nEvaluate performance objective and metrics to determine inbound and outbound productivity requirements.\n\nReview work throughout the work process and at completion, in order to ensure that it has been performed effectively.\n\nPlan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels, to ensure that activities are performed effectively, and to respond to fluctuating workloads.\n\nProvide direction and assistance in the solution of problems with employees.\n\nCommunicate with employees and management on a regular basis to insure procedures are followed, new procedures and methods are considered and new approved methods or procedures are known and carried out on a timely basis.\n\nAppraise and document employee performance at regular intervals as required by company procedures, insuring a plan for improving employee performance and potential.\n\nRecommend pay increase based upon performance. Receive approval from DC Director before discussing with employee.\n\nEnforce company policies and procedures, abide by same.\n\nCounsel employees in work -related activities personal growth and career development.\n\nInform designated employees or departments of items loaded, and problems encountered.\n\nEnsure all stock is pulled and loaded into the delivery vehicle with accompanying and necessary documents, in conjunction with delivery schedules maintaining a 99% accuracy rate.\n\nAssist warehouse personnel with everyday functions when necessary.\n\nPrepare reports for the Sr. DC Manager..\n\n Ensure that all warehouse equipment is in working condition.\n\nEDUCATION & TRAINING\n\nBachelors degree in business or equivalent is preferred\n\nIntermediate to advanced user knowledge of Microsoft, including database, spreadsheet, good working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (JDA, Manhattan, etc)\n\nKNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE\n\nMinimum of 5 years of management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution environment; including a minimum of 2 yrs in a supervisory position\n\nStrong leadership, communication and organizational skills are required\n\nLead projects and help your team achieve goals. You have a track record of taking ownership and driving results\n\nSKILLS & ABILITIES\n\nModerate physical effort and use or motor skills requiring manual dexterity.
