In this crucial role, you will ensure patient data from healthcare provider lab order requisitions is entered accurately and efficiently before patient specimens reach the core laboratory for testing. Your attention to detail and adherence to established procedures will help maintain our high-quality standards.\nLocation & Compensation:\nInternal Applicants: Remote eligible; compensation based on experience (DOE)\nExternal Applicants: Onsite in Pendleton; starting wage $18.50 per hour\nSchedule: Part-time (Mon, Wed, Fri 8pm - 4:30am)\n\nBenefits:\nDental\nBasic Life/AD&D\n401(K) with discretionary employer match\nPaid Time Off\nFree clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in house\nNight differential pay (10%) for night shift hours\nPerformance-based compensation based on work volume and accuracy\nWhat You'll Do:\n\nAccurately utilize the online Patient Registration system to enter patient data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).\nActively participate in Quality Assurance monitoring activities to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the registration process.\nAccurately translate physician orders and diagnoses from requisition forms into the LIS.\nFollow established work checklists and procedures to ensure all tasks are completed on schedule.\nEnsure strict adherence to HIPAA policies and procedures to maintain patient confidentiality.\nUnderstand and follow Medicare guidelines, including regulations related to Advance Beneficiary Notices (ABN).\nMaintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.\n\nEducation & Certification:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nExperience:\nPrevious specimen processing experience (preferred, but not required)\nSkills & Competencies:\n\nAbility to learn and effectively use Interpath Laboratory's internal registration system (training will be provided)\nDemonstrated ability to perform tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail\nComfortable using computers and laboratory applications\nAbility to adhere to established procedures and guidelines to maintain a high standard of work\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to sit for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.\nOccasional standing, walking, or bending to retrieve files or office supplies.\nUtilizes keyboard throughout entire shift, performing data entry.\nAbility to see medical documentation on a computer screen in order to accurately enter data.\nAbility to lift up to 25 pounds for occasional office tasks (e.g., handling paperwork or equipment).\nOSHA Category: This position may occasionally perform tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues.
