We are seeking a highly motivated SDE eager to apply their technical skills to the growing field of space technology. This role will be responsible for supporting spacecraft development, integration, testing, and operations through automation, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and infrastructure management. The SDE will work alongside the software team to maintain and support the autonomy of the spacecraft ground systemwill review and analyze logs, trends, and other tools to troubleshoot spacecraft and ground system issues. This position will also interface with software team, spacecraft owners, and Tier 2 support team; create and maintain automated test procedures to validate several key satellite reporting tools; create, modify and maintain software scripts and procedures used in automated satellite tracking and monitoring; participate in the testing of new software baselines.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nBuild and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests to standardize application deployments\nDesign and build container images, ensuring they are optimized for production workloads\nScan container images for vulnerabilities before deployment to ensure application security\nDevelop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Gitlab CI/CD and Jenkins\nTroubleshoot and report software anomalies\nWork in a team environment\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS\nMust be a US Citizen\nMust meet eligibility requirements associated with obtaining an active DoD Secret clearance\nExperience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or similar operating systems\nKnowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes, Helm, Kubectl\nExperience writing scripts (examples: shell scripting, Python, etc.)\nFamiliarity with writing playbooks and roles using Ansible\nExperience with software configuration management tools (examples: git, BitBucket, Gitlab, Jira, etc.).\nFamiliarity with virtualization and cloud technologies (examples: AWS, OpenStack, VMware, Proxmox, etc.)\nFamiliarity with CI/CD (examples: Jenkins, Gitlab runners)\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience documenting test results for corrective actions\nExperience interacting with databases (examples: MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, etc.)\nExcellent troubleshooting skills\nDesire to work in the space industry developing and testing satellite command and control systems for test and operations\nUnderstanding of networking concepts, system monitoring, and basic IT infrastructure\n0-5 years of software engineering/development experience using C/C++ in a Linux environment\nExperience building, deploying, and running containers (examples: buildah, podman)\nSpace Ground Systems Solutions (SGSS), a wholly owned subsidiary under the Parsons Corporation, is passionate about making our nation the undisputed leader in Space because we understand that ensuring our security for future generations depends on it.
