We value integrity, professionalism, and transparency—and we never stop asking, “What more can we do?”Position SummaryThe Process Engineer IV will be responsible for managing new project development, optimizing existing operating assets, and leading other process engineers. Process development will span many sectors including Oil & Gas, Refineries, Pharma, and Alternative Energy. Work will include development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Material Balances, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process simulations, equipment datasheets, and calculations to support projects. This role will also drive improvements in work processes, lead operations support, monitor environmental impact, develop dashboards and training tools, and identify and implement process optimization projects.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesEngineering – provide process support for new projects, including:Develop process simulations and new models for complex projectsDevelop material and energy balances for complex projectsLead development of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)Manage process requirements for equipment selectionAct as subject matter expert for process engineering in Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs)Manage project permitting with clientsCoordinate and lead shop inspection, field commissioning, and start-up of projectsManage technology selection or develop new technology as neededCoordinate proposal development for new projectsLead improvements in work processesDevelop subject matter expertise in needed key areasParticipate in internal and external project meetingsOperations – Support Existing Operating Units, IncludingUpdate P&IDs as requiredManage Management of Change (MOC) protocolsOptimize existing units to improve performance and reduce energy consumptionManage implementation of improvement projects at existing facilitiesSupport environmental services reporting and develop tools for new marketsPartner with Operations to lead troubleshooting and determine root causesMentor and lead other process engineering team membersOther Duties And ResponsibilitiesConduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirementsPromote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goalsTravel domestically and internationally, ranging from 10–20% per year, with potential for increased travel during project start-up periodsPerform other duties as assignedWork EnvironmentWork is performed in an office and uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions is possible for short periods of time—such as: dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures.
