Caprock Academy is a public, tuition-free school chartered by the Colorado Charter School Institute and utilizes the timeless principles of classically oriented education. As a person integral to Caprock Academy's team, the Special Education Case Manager will maintain the integrity of, advocate for, and facilitate the implementation of Caprock Academy's Vision, Mission, and Core Values of character, accountability and academics.Caprock Academy follows the Core Knowledge curriculum in grades K-8. This curriculum encompasses language arts, mathematics, science, history, geography, fine arts, and physical education. The curriculum is characterized by content-rich instruction, cumulative knowledge, content-specific lessons, and coherent sequencing. The foundation of our academics are rooted in classical education philosophy and pedagogy, following the grammar, logic and rhetoric trivium. As a person integral to Caprock Academy's team, they will maintain the integrity of, advocate for, and facilitate the implementation of Caprock Academy's Vision, Mission, and Core Values.FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Salary ExemptEMPLOYMENT STATUS: Regular, full-timeWORK HOURS: 40 hours per weekPAY RANGE: Hiring Salary $46,000 depending on experience and educationREPORTS TO: Director of Support Services/Head of SchoolRequirementsEssential Duties:Working with families and the Special Education team to schedule and manage IEP meetingsWorking with all stakeholders in the development of student IEPsManaging and monitoring IEP implementation for all students on the caseloadCompliance oversightThe case manager will maintain positive, supportive relationships with parents, students and the special education teamThe case manager will monitor and ensure compliance with all school, district and state regulations.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution with a valid state teaching license and highly qualified content knowledge.Hold a Colorado Department of Education issued Special Education Generalist or Special Education Specialist license; or hold a Colorado Elementary Education teaching license and willing to enroll in an alternative teacher licensure program or an accredited Colorado university special education program.Familiarity with Federal, State and CSI guidelines for special education and 504Expertise with a wide range of standardized and informal assessment procedures including progress monitoring toolsExpertise with research-based instructional programs and strategiesKnowledge of research-based academic and behavioral interventionsAbility to effectively communicate effectively in oral and written formAbility to work effectively and cooperatively with team membersRequired DocumentationApplicationCurrent ResumeThree Letters of Recommendation (including email addresses and phone numbers)Post-Secondary Transcripts (photocopy will suffice)Required Upon HiringComplete Love & Logic program trainingOther trainings as requiredBenefits:Enrollment in Colorado's Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) including employer contributionsHealth, dental, vision, employer-paid life insuranceEarned PTO (complies with Colorado's Healthy Families and Workplaces Act)EEO Statement
