We are looking for a leader who can suggest and implement improvements, work well with a variety of internal and external customers, and handle the fast-paced and detail-oriented procurement process.\nResponsibilities\nOversee supplier quotes, material purchasing, and equipment rentals\nOversee Assistant Purchasing Agent\nManage supplier relationships to maintain quality of goods, favorable pricing and terms, and timely delivery\nMaintain inventory levels at warehouse and on company vehicles\nImplement and oversee tool purchasing and maintenance program\nImplement best practices in procurement, reporting, and inventory management\nDevelop, implement, and continuously improve purchasing processes, workflows, and controls to increase efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings\nEnsure cost efficiency\nCommunicate material status to key stakeholders\nReceive material and verify merchandise received against packing slips and invoices\nHandle order discrepancies and any obvious damages with suppliers\nProcess and perform data entry of return of materials and follow up on credit\nCoordinate deliveries to job sites as required\nMaintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard\nCoordinate sorting and storage for material needed on large projects\nManage inventory procedures\nOversee fleet management\nMust be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory\nProvide high-quality internal and external customer service\nComply with all company policies and procedures\nAny other duties as assigned\nRequirements\nProven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role\nComputer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint\nStrong organizational skills: Must be detail oriented\nStrong interpersonal skills: Must be a team player and demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.\nHigh initiative and independence\nFive years or more related experience and/or training preferred\nClean driving record\nAbility to distinguish colors\nReliable, dependable, and hard working\nAbility to lift and carry construction materials\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nAbility to speak, read, write and understand English\nWorking knowledge of all electrical related tools and meters is a plus\nPhysical Requirements\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:\nWhile performing the duties of the Purchasing Manager, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
