Kitchen Night Shift Supervisor

Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Night Kitchen Supervisor to support the nightly operations of our kitchen team. In this role, you will assist in supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and quality standards are maintained, and overseeing efficient and timely food preparation during evenings. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing all kitchen operations during night shifts. Supervise and support kitchen staff, including cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers. Ensure food preparation meets quality, presentation, and timing standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking. Train new team members and provide ongoing guidance and feedback to existing staff. Resolve issues or conflicts that arise during the shift in a professional and timely manner. Conduct end-of-night closing procedures, including equipment shutdown, waste management, reporting and all staff areas are cleaned and stocked. Assist in implementing kitchen policies and procedures to improve efficiency. Qualifications: Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, with at least 3 year in a supervisory or lead role preferred. Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., ServSafe certification is a plus). Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for extended periods. Customer service experience (dealing with customers face to face and over the phone). Preferred Skills: Familiarity with managing experience. Conflict resolution and team-building skills.
