The position will require a growth orientated individual to cover a wide variety of engineering skills relating to heavy industrial projects that deal with overall plant design from the initial concept through construction. Specific tasks may include developing site layouts, equipment layouts, processinstrumentation diagrams, equipment specifications, cost estimating, bid assistance, construction assistance, etc. Position will work directly with multiple disciplines allowing the engineer to develop skills for many aspects of various projects. The position will eventually require direct contact with clients and vendors to meet necessary project goals. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, driven, and have a growth-orientated personality with a willingness to address all aspects of varying industrial projects.\nSpecific Responsibilities include:\nPerform of process calculations, finite element analysis, pipepump sizing, HVAC sizing, pressure drop calculations, etc.\nCreation of equipment, project, and material specifications.\nUtilization of AutoCAD and other 3D design programs to produce construction documents.\nPerforming field verifications of new designs and existing environments.\nCollecting existing information and interpreting data.\nCreation of reports, project summaries and recommendations.\nDevelop projects from initial design concepts through construction.\nLearning subject matter for specific projects, including technical papers, codes, standards, etc.\nParticipating in company growth and development while assisting others where needed on projects or tasks.\nProvide onsite construction assistance.\nAbility to Travel as needed ~10%.\nSkills/Qualifications:\nBSME or BSMET\n0-5 years' experience in a design engineering role, preferably with industrial projects\nPE or EIT with plans to earn a PE.\nProficiency in CAD design and design standards\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D design software\nExcellent presentation and verbal communication skills\nExcellent written communications skills\nBenefits\n\nLarson is a 100% ESOP company with an environment that challenges and empowers its employees, encouraging their growth while also offering flexibility for their personal lives.
