We are looking for a Parts Manager to help support that mission.JOB SUMMARYThe Parts Manager is directly responsible for the management and/or supervision of the Parts Department in its entirety as it relates to the goals of the branch and Branch Manager. Compensation for this position includes a profit-sharing plan based on branch performance.RESPONSIBILITIESWorking with recruitment and HR to maintain staff levels that appropriately support customer demandWorking directly with personnel to ensure proper job function performanceHire, train, supervise and mentor other Parts personnelWork with other managers to encourage cross-departmental workflowContinuously explore alternative vendors/brands to ensure competitive pricing and availabilityEnsuring established policies and procedures are being followed and performed accordinglyMaintain and increase customer relationshipsRegularly review Monthly Operating Statement to measure progress to forecast, areas for improvement and staffing levelsPropose SOP's to continually improve Parts Department operationsEnsure adequate inventory while minimizing excess or obsolete partsOther duties as assignedGreat BenefitsHighly Competitive PayMedical, Dental, Vision & Life Insurance401k with company matchPaid Time OffPaid Certification TrainingOpportunity for advancementQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Business or related field preferredComplete and maintain all factory certifications within 180 days of original date of hire3+ years of parts experience (management preferred) with an emphasis on heavy-duty diesel trucks/equipmentExcellent verbal and written communicationAttention to detail and accuracyProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteWORK CONDITIONSPhysical Demands/Work Environment: This position regularly requires walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs. It also often requires pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting 50+ lbs. and working in a variety of weather conditions and noise levels.
