This role sits at the intersection of data, visualization, stakeholder communication, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate for this position understands how to frame the right questions, shape the right view of the data for the right audience, and apply disciplined judgment when working with AI-generated outputs in high-visibility environments.This is a rare opportunity to shape how highly technical and AI-enabled work is understood by the people making critical decisions. You will help ensure that complex program realities are communicated with clarity, credibility, and judgment.Key responsibilities may include:Translate complex technical and analytical complexity into clear, accurate, and decision-ready communication productsDesign dashboard and visualization strategies that answer the questions stakeholders actually need answeredDevelop multiple views of the same underlying data tailored to technical, executive, and operational audiencesPartner with program leadership, analysts, engineers, and data teams to ensure products are accurate, context-aware, and audience-appropriateUtilize internal agentic AI tools to accelerate communication product development while applying strong editorial and strategic judgmentReview, curate, edit, and validate AI-generated outputs before it is shared or publishedHelp define narrative structure, presentation logic, and stakeholder relevance for dashboards and other decision-support materialsSupport senior stakeholders by translating emerging technical work into understandable and actionable insightsQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree with 16+ years of experience, Master's degree with 14 years, or PhD with 10 years of relevant experience in strategic, technical, program, and/or analytics communications or a related/relevant rolesDemonstrated ability to translate complex technical information clearly to senior decision-makers and mixed audiencesExperience supporting tiered audiences spanning technical, executive, and political communitiesStrong judgment in evaluating whether dashboards, data views or AI-generated outputs are accurate, complete, and ready for distributionExperience defining the purpose and decision logic behind dashboarding or communication products prior to executionAbility to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams while maintaining accountability for communication qualityUS Citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain an FAA Public Trust suitabilityMust be local to and able to commute to one of our on-site locations: Annapolis Junction, MD; Bowie, MD; or Herndon, VADesired QualificationsBackground in FAA, DoD, congressional, or other high-visibility public-sector communication environmentsExperience with dashboarding strategy, executive visualization, or decision-support communicationsFamiliarity with AI-assisted content generation and human-in-the-loop review processesExperience navigating politically aware stakeholder environments where communication quality and timing are criticalFamiliarity with aviation, public-sector modernization, or technically complex mission programsDetailsTarget Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
