The engineer will identify, develop, and implement innovative solutions to electrical/instrumentation/automation/networking reliability issues for multiple facilities.Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain safety as a top priority and ensure all activities meet required safety procedures.Analyze data from multiple sources to identify and justify life-cycle cost and reliability improvement activities.Assist in engineering, design, specification, and technical support of electrical, instrumentation, automation, networking and cybersecurity equipment.Manage or assist with the execution and commissioning of safety/capital projects for reliability improvement.Identify and resolve long-term electrical asset concerns.Own and lead Root Cause Analysis for major failures and follow up on pending tasks.Monitor and optimize predictive and preventive maintenance programs at operating facilities.Review and update Standard Maintenance Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.Identify, pilot and implement new technologies for reliability improvement.Drive resolution of high impact issues with urgency and integrity.Utilize Six Sigma methodologies for continuous improvement of reliability.Track and report on KPIs, metrics and key initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer, or Networking Engineering with a minimum of 12 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, automation, networking, or cybersecurity in an industrial manufacturing environment.Proven experience with electrical, instrumentation, automation, networking equipment such as switchgear, transformers, motors, MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, Process Control Network, Cybersecurity, and CEMS/DAHS systems.Proven knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies.Proven experience in reliability methodologies such as RCA, RCI, FMEA, statistical downtime analysis, and fishbone analysis.Proven experience in engineering, specification and design of electrical/instrumentation/automation/networking systems.Excellent communication, teamwork and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and lead or participate on cross‐functional teams.Self‐starter who manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesUnderstanding of electrical/instrumentation/automation/networking/cybersecurity regulatory standards and codes.Understanding of control and instrumentation systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.Experience with CMMS systems.Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and techniques.Knowledge of reliability methodologies such as RCM, TPM, spare parts management, planning & scheduling, and CMMS optimization.Skills with software such as SAP, AutoCAD, Power Point, Visio, Excel, Word, Rockwell PLCs, Modicon PLCs, HMIs, Networking, PIMs, Cybersecurity.Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.Working ConditionsThis position requires a combination of office and field work and frequent domestic travel across CEMEX worldwide.Physical RequirementsExerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or 10 pounds constantly to move objects.Legal NoticesCEMEX is an EEO/AA institution and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, and other protected characteristics.
