Speech Language PathologistThe role of Speech Language Pathologist provides assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders for patients across all ages in a healthcare setting. The position supports interdisciplinary teams and develops individualized therapy plans to improve patient communication and swallowing outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.Provide therapy to patients of all ages in a healthcare setting.Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques and strategies.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal guidelines.Utilize innovative techniques and evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.Qualifications:Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Active SLP license in South Dakota (or eligibility for licensure).BLS certification.Preferred Skills:Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHAExperience in a healthcare setting
