This is a fully remote position. Eligible candidates must currently reside in the US and authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.**\nOur client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their product engineering team and play a key role in modernizing their platform architecture. This position is ideal for a highly skilled engineer who combines strong hands-on development expertise with technical leadership, architectural thinking, and the ability to drive projects from concept through delivery.\nThis individual will help lead critical engineering initiatives, including the evolution of a monolithic application toward a service-oriented architecture, while partnering with internal teams and external development partners to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.\nPrimary Duties\nManage technical projects from planning and design through implementation and delivery.\nServe as a senior technical contributor, balancing hands-on software development with technical leadership responsibilities.\nDesign scalable applications and make architecture decisions that support long-term growth and performance.\nHelp drive modernization efforts, including the transition from a monolithic system to service-oriented architectures and cloud-based solutions.\nCollaborate with product, engineering, and external development teams to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.\nEvaluate and recommend AWS services and infrastructure patterns based on technical and business requirements.\nMentor team members and provide technical guidance when needed, helping strengthen overall engineering capabilities.\nCommunicate technical concepts, tradeoffs, and implementation plans clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nQualifications\nStrong experience developing applications with .NET and C#.\nExperience working with SQL Server and relational database design.\nHands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.\nExperience developing modern web applications using React.\nStrong understanding of software architecture, system design, and application scalability.\nAbility to lead projects and influence technical direction without necessarily holding a formal leadership title.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.\nNice to Have Skills\nExperience serving as a technical expert, project lead, or unofficial team leader.\nExperience with cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and service-oriented design patterns.\nExperience partnering with offshore, nearshore, or external development teams.\nInterest in future leadership opportunities and mentoring other engineers.\nOur Vetting Process\nAt Emergent Staffing, we work hard to find the best software engineers capable of developing high quality software for our clients.
